Recent practice shots...

I haven't been practicing my panning skills as much lately so decided to brave the cold weather and see what I could get.
Here are some pics at ISO 100 (I like shooting slow anyway, why not eliminate as much noise as possible?) and shutter priority at 1/80.

Yup, that last one shouldn't have too much trouble getting on Airliners if you process it correctly.
1/80th at 300-500mm is tough, so well done.

I only shoot at a low shutter speed. Absolutly hate that grain :P
Wish I could get out more often to a local airport to do that sort of thing ;)

Are these results possible only on a DSLR camera? Fantastic shots.... Just bought a Point and shoot with some decent zoom (8X).... Now to find an airport!
