And to think up until about 90 seconds ago, I was ashamed of my A/V setup and the sh*thole I live in... thanks. ;) ;D

Oh, right, you said "have a good laugh"...

:D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

Superscope... wow. Too bad it's not a quadrophonic receiver. ;D

Have any mix tapes of your flyswatter-scratch DJ sessions? Very innovative...  ;D

Bad call on my part about the quad functions, but I know it's a Marantz... I actually like those old amps, most of 'em... and it's partly a nostalgic thing. "Superscope" is a quaint old term, that seemed so cutting-edge at the time.
You'll understand when you're older... ;)

Quadrophonic stereo actually sounded pretty cool sometimes, if the music was mixed for it. They used to put in all sorts of weird pan effects... ahhh, the seventies. ;D

Free is good; you're wise beyond your years to have an appreciation for that. ;)

I've been getting by with all sorts of free electronics, furniture, etc. for my entire life- my current TV is something like the sixth one I've owned, but the first one I actually had to pay for. ;D

Yep, it works, sat for 10-15 years without being used, plugged it in and it worked! I Love it more than my computer, Though my mother doesnt like it when I have explosions shaking the house to no end...... Anyone up for a 250 watt star wars trip or a movie?  ;D Gotta love the old stuff! Been affraid to buy a new receiver because they seem so cheap these days and I know she's dying, might get her fixed....!

Cheers, Gunny (Still in the good old days of stereos)
