Spotting at N40-part 5: had to look this one up...

My first thought was "172",; obviously an older one... but it is, in fact, a '58 C-182... damn hard to tell. I suppose if it were side-by-side with a 172 from the same period... or maybe the air intake shroud, etc. ... but there are so many aftermarket mods of Cessna cowls... eh, who cares?  It's beautiful!

Love the paint scheme (which looks fairly recent).

That first shot is a cracker. :)

I've remarked before that all these nosewheel Cessnas look much the same to me. To be honest I never cared for them so have little interest. Now, a classic taildragger might be a different story. :P ;)

I agree. The first is beautiful. I'm trying to put to-gether a brochure for my flying club, mind if I use this pic?  :)

I feel the same... but I'll make an exception for a nice Cessna- probably just because of my association with them.  :)

Unfortunately, the only "conventional gear" birds at N40 that day were the Maule and the Courier... no taildragging Cessnas, Luscombes, etc.
