I've already said it the best stadium ever with the best football team ever. The Emirates stadium home of the Arsenal!
First of all we took a detour past Highbury which is now gone after 93 years

the seating design is a copy of Arrowhead stadium in Kansas, minus about 20,000 seats and they've put a roof on top just to keep the fans dry? wimps lol. Sorry I hate Arsenal and everything to do with them, it doesn't even come close to invesco field at Mile high. I dont understand why its such a low number of seats aswell? they are a well supported team in a large area. So who knows?
But they are nice pics mate, why not larger?

Ignore Craig, LOL.  I am an avid Gunners fan too, but I am from Plymouth so I cant get up there to watch games which is a bit crap really.  Hopefully Arsenal and Plymouth get into the 4th round of the FA Cup, and Plymouth get drawn at home to Arsenal.  Would be a good match (ahem, 3/4-0 to Arsenal I think  ;D)
Nice pictures.

Mark

Why are they knocking down Highbury? I never went there myself by I was close enough to hear it a few times.

They started knocking Highbury down about a few months ago and luckly I went to the last game there and I went to about 6 games there but I don't know why the knocked it down it was probally so they can go from 35000 seats to now around 61000 seats.

Forget that bus service financed stadium, the truly best stadium in the country, and also home to the best fans (joint with Liverpool) is right here in the North East, St James Park of course! ;D ;)

Mind you I am slightly biased, only slightly mind....... :P

Great. They're turning it into Yuppie flats. Thats just what England needs. More Yuppie housing. Obviously there arn't any more docks left for them to build on so they're now going for sporting arenas.

To be fair, at least the two original stands are surviving, albeit in a modified way.

As for the Emirates being only 60,000 - take a look at google earth - I doubt there was much more room in its location.

I know, but The is a limit to how much you can build up without building outwards. :)
