A hole-punch cloud?  Looks like it...

Storms rolling in on the last evening...

Right before leaving, looking back where we had been...

Driving through Duluth, this is a picture of the western-most tip of Lake Superior, and a blue truck...

Thanks for looking. ;)

Very nice (Mike is it?). I'm a rather accomplished backpacker myself. In your other thread I noticed the pizza. Have you ever tried Steak on a Rock? It sounds gross, I know, but it's quite good. Before you leave, you take a whatever size piece of steak and chop it up and put it in a sandwich bag and pour some marinade in it. When you get hungry in the backcountry, you make your fire and put a rock realitively close to the flames. When the rock gets good and hot, put the steak on for about five minutes. It sounds crude, but after a long day of hiking, there's nothing better. :)

That does sound good, thanks for the idea, we'll have to try that sometime.  We usually take steaks, and just grill them on the fire grate that is at each campsite (which, in addition to the latrine, is the only two things at a campsite), but I have heard of cooking steaks on a rock, only at fancy restaurants though, but I don't see any reason why we couldn't do it up there too.  We usually take brats for the first night, steaks for the second, then have fish, those pizzas, freeze dried meals, and ramen, and anything else we can think of the rest of the nights.

-Mike ;)
