Lone Star Flight Museum Flyday

Postby Jakemaster » Tue Nov 14, 2006 8:38 pm

Well here we go, Ive got 7 posts worth of pics.  I hate to spam, but I promise youll like these.

Sunday was the last flying day of the season for the LSFM collection, so they took out all their flying planes and..um..flew them.  Well they didnt fly the one I love the most, but they started her engines!

These aren't really in order or necessarily good, but I figured Id share them anyways

Yaks!

The B-17 is their pride and joy along with Tarheel Hal.  It took off shortly after this pick and then came back and landed without any flyby or anything, but it flew a lot more later

Two of the 4 yaks seen earlier

This one was kinda scary.  At first it wasnt firing, and then it let out two really really loud POPS and then had a nice smokey start

Feel the breeze...

I still can't get over how HUGE the A-1 is!

I got a lot of smokey start pictures, this is the DAV B-25 'Special Delivery'

More on their way...

Haha, I've gotten to climb all over that very Corsair.  It spent the summer at my airport so a local pilot could fly it in airshows all summer. :D
