Unique indeed! I've never seen some of those...What is purpose of flying with the undercarriage still down?

No purpose other than it looks good. It's a display team.

Basic aerodynamics will show you that gear down means more drag...which means its harder to fly in formation like they do (more advanced aerodynamics will show you that the gear greates tubulence which disrupts flow over other pilot's wings)

It's a tough call to make sometimes: Do I put these on "Real Aviation" or "Photos" ...?
I guess technically,though, pix in the "Photos" section should be one's own... naughty naughty, hays... 40 lashes with a wet noodle...

Regardless of all that- those are great shots; a few I've never seen before.
