KEWR-KMDW Part 1

OK... went and got another card reader (cheaper than a new cable for the reader I brought with me, but that's cool- I need a reader just for the road, anyway).
Stuck with Paint (and not much time) on a company laptop for now, so pardon the raw look...

Up at oh-dark-thirty Wed. morning to catch a 0755 flight to Chicago Midway... barely made it in time (security bottleneck; what else?). Pretty lousy wx...

We start taxiing, then park on the hard stand for an hour waiting for vis to lift to better than 1/2 mile at Chicago... cowards! ;D

Taxiing to the active at last... woohoo!!

737-500, BTW... departs like a rocket ship.

Spent a looong time in the soup...

Then finally we're on top. Things were a bit unsettled even on top; the crew had to hunt aound for an altitude that would provide smoothe cruising. they were not entirely successful. No big- I like bumpy airliner rides; reminds me I'm flying. ;D

An interesting cloud feature seen enroute:

Nice shots, I can't wait to see the MDW ones (MDW is such a cool airport)

Continental is a great airline, and since they are based here I get to see some of their biggies in maintenence when I go to IAH...last time there was a 767 with teh engines opened up

737's... I love them, but they sure take-off with a lot of power! ( compared to the MD-80, the only other airliner-type I've ever flown)

Lovely snaps sean... really lovely!
