From the dusty old box...

My grandad was looking through his old photos recently and found some that he thinks are the among the oldest he has.
Theres a little story to go with it too.
He was in the RAF stationed at Yeadon (now Leeds Bradford Airport) and one day a Blackburn Beverley of all things came.

This was full of troops.

Then as soon as it had arrived, it left.

Those photos are from the mid 1950's.
Also among the collection was a picture of a Concorde from its early testing days at Fairford?.

Sorry to dig out this old topic but I have just realised that they are not the same Beverley, there is an X 148 and Y 149.
Thought you might like to know ;)
149 Actually still exists, though only as a cockpit at Aeroventue, Doncaster, there is a photo a bit back in the forums.
