Lots of fun dogs and friendly owners (but no single women, alas)... Peg was her usual wallflower-ish self, but actually mixed it up a little, sniffing butts and even playing a little. Here she's using one of her signature moves: pivoting on that front leg to face her "attacker" to prepare to rear up for a possible chest-butt.
Her other move, reserved for moments of extreme rowdiness, is to fall on her back and kick like a rabbit with her hind legs... most dogs get surprised by that, because normally a dog on its back is submitting. didn't happen today- she is still not quite at ease here.
Typical Peg moment: plenty of live dogs around, but she's intent on analyzing every molecule of a rock.
She'll warm up more, I think, if I get her out with other dogs more regularly.
This little guy has the most bizarre purple-and-gray markings... looks just like a shaggy hyena. Never seen anything like it, and unfortunately my other pics of him were too blurry- he's fast!!
Much better results here... I finally figured out that for action shots in good light, if I put the Kodak on the "landscape" preset and go for medium range and minimal zoom, the lens focuses up quickly and behaves itself . And, uh, using the rapid-multiple-exposure setting helps make magic like this happen, too...
I might edit this one with a lighter background; it's not bad (for me).
