Perfect Sunday for flying: part 8 (last)
Went home for a bite and to review my plans, then off to 47N, where I promptly flood 96D's engine (damn fuelies- take some getting used to!!), and of course I run the battery down trying to remedy that. Probably enough juice to bring the flaps back up, but I'd rather not drain it completely.

The SP has a lovely AP socket for such occasions, but the AP tug is locked in the shop, which was itself closed for the day. Marty jumps on his Moto-Guzzi to fetch his keys from home... very nice of him, but my Perfect Day is fading fast.

Seems to take forever, but at last Marty appears with the tug. there's another renter due at 1800; I have just enough time to do a few circuits. I could go practice maneuvers, but there's a lot of traffic and the sun is very low now, and very bright.

I luck out with a blind snap of this paraglider as I climb out for the first circuit:

After my flight (which goes well), I am amazed by a local Quicksilver pilot herding a small flock of geese. He chased them around for quite some time, and actually managed to keep them out of the pattern area (although he was probably just having fun).

There were balloons flying over Solberg to the NW, a beautiful sight, but with the glare, the pics didn't come out...
Next: I lied... there's more!
