The Red Arrows did their yearly display at the Great North Run today, being so local to me I took the usual trip up to see it...

Was at a service station on the A1(M) a couple of hours ago eating dinner, and saw a number of "hobblers" wearing Great North Run T-shirts! ;D

Second last image.......where is that lighthouse ? North Pier at Tynemouth ? ???

........if so..........very close to my birthplace.......although I'm not sure I walked that one, I have old pics of me sitting on the wall by the Groyne......quite a scenic area ;D

No set amount ever, just as much as I think is needed on any given shot. In this particular set, Pics 1,2,4 and 5 are only lightly cropped to centre the aircraft in the frame, shot 3 is a medium crop, needed to get the aircraft close and I did a more right aligned crop to cut out dead space in front of the aircraft and highlight the interest on the other side more (vortexes and smoke). Shot 6 is a relatively heavy crop due to the fact the subjects don't look very interesting unless there brought closer.
