Alright, so I posted about it awhile ago....not bringing that up again.  However heres the watch in all its glory.

On my wrist. Not too big, not too small. The only watch I have ever found that fit better was a PAM 111G 44mm

I was trying to get a cool shot across the Bezel. This one of the Helium release valve was the best I could get.

I've been around quite a few high end watches. From my own Rolex Sub, to my fathers GMT II and various others worn by my friends I like the Omega the best. It looks much more solid than the Rolex (and it is by far). If I can ever get the cash (highly unlikely) I would love to get a Panerai Luminor Marina 111. I didn't used to like them, but recently they have grown on me.

Cheers
Cameron

All these expensive watches that have names associated with the sea. Just shows that you can stick the word "Marine" in front of a product and charge obcene amounts of money for it.

Is this just a watch or are you diving with it ? If you're not diving with it, then its just a timepiece.....
If you are diving, how frequently do you think you'll be testing that 30 atmosphere claim on the face ?
.....heck, I never went to the limit of my 6 Atm dive watches (165')........although I only considered myself a sport diver, there were many wrecks in the area where I did my OWD qualification, which would take me down to over 100'.......thats quite deep enough for me !

Is this a new model, or a vintage one? I'm no connaisseur, so pardon me for asking. It has a very retro feel to it... not exactly my taste, but I hear they are very good quality...

Its the newest one, but they havent changed the design since the late 80's. The new GMT has a glass caseback, but thats really the only thing for the SMPs that has changed.

And for the quality, I personally like it much better than my my previous Sub. It feels more secure, and not like a 30lb arm weight attached with a silver rubber band (then again the Rolex does have hollow center links).

Cheers

I'd take it back and ask for a refund Cameron... 3 days ago the time was wrong... Now the date's wrong too.

I still can't see why it's worth such ridiculous amounts of money...
