A nice day in NYC
Posted: Tue Sep 12, 2006 6:45 pmHad an errand to run before breaking for lunch yesterday, and I had my camera, so I thought I'd mosey around and look at things. Beautiful weather, and excellent light.
Seen thru the window of a pub on the second floor: my favorite vintage Guiness poster!
A classic longboard... wood, yet. Good luck getting that in there!
This guy's been holding this clock outside the Tiffany building for quite some time now...
Too bad I had to compress this one so much... as kitschy patriotic "tchotchkies" go, these masks are pretty cool. Some are made up of tiny portraits of 9/11 victims...
Couldn't get any shots thru the glass of the beauties in the Maserati showroom on Park Avenue, but this came out OK. I was going to see if they'd let me inside to snap a few, then the battery died. And then the sppare died. Weird...
Some familiar titles in this antique bookshop: never read the Paddington books as a youngster, but I had copies of Ferdinand and The Little Prince, once upon a time.
