9/11 Memorial Lights

Last night my mom, dad and I went to Jersey City to see the 9/11 Memorial Lights lit up. It was indeed very moving.

I also discovered my camera dosen't like darkness, and gives off a lot of image noise in bad lighting situations. That was the best pic I could get, as I forgot my tripod and wound up using a fencepost as a stabilizer. 10/1 exposure.

Why you little... >:(

I took a bunch from my window last night... but they're on film (my digi can't deal with that kind of light) and I haven't got them processed yet, so fair enough- you beat me to it.
;D

That didn't come out half-bad...  8)

Thanks, Sean. Yeah, if anyone is familiar with North Jersey, you could see the lights all the way from Bridgewater. That's a good 30 miles away. :)

Here's another one I took, I didn't look at it until just now. This was a 45 second exposure, and I even caught an A319 I think it was inbound for LaGuardia. :) The original image was a bit bright, so I toned the colors done in Paint Shop Pro.

Kind of reminds me of this photo on Anet, except it looks like this guy was in Queens or something when he took it.

I like the "string of pearls" effect of the time-exposed strobes... but how do you know it was a 319? Some eyes you must have! ;)

What a wonderful shot!  You did good, James!! :)

At work we all stopped and had a moment of silence at the time of the first strike.  It was very heart wrenching!! :'(

When are they going to start building there?
