some of the people i know have suggested it to me, so i thought didnt some people from here have theirs rejected?
i was just wondering if anyone here thinks it is worth my trying.
with some that i have from coventry and the most recent ones plus earlier ones from b'ham that im most proud of shall i give it a go?
and my forgetfulness leaving out mt better Riat pics...
cheers

I've put some of mine on there. Okay you get a wider audience but you also get vetted. This process is stupid as a lot of good photos get rejected but some rubbish ones made by friends of their vetters (e.g. really naff fakes) get put up.....

They have VERY high standards. Unless your shots are top quality they won't get past their notorious standards, I know, I've had more rejections than accepts.

I find that attitude a little unfair, I haven't seen any examples of friends getting stuff on. As for the vetting it has to be done to ensure the database contains only the best aviation photography.

Unless they're either very rare or exceptionally good quality I wouldn't bother.

Screeners view them in two stages to check whether the quality is good enough to allow the shot on to the database.

Remember, minimum size for uploading on A.net is 1024 pixels wide (and not too narrow either) so you'll have to post links here.

ok, what i have done here is to resize my prospective shots, but i have kept full size versions of them so if i and you deem them posibly worthy then i can try to upload my full size versions.
well here are what i think are my best 6 shots, one from b'ham the other day, and the others are from RIAT. im not sure if they will be wanting that many from airshows, but i think they are pretty good.
wel here they are
Emirates 777-300ER on finals for B'ham
The reds in formation
B1 just after rotation at Fairford
MV-22 Osprey
and two of the Patrulla Aguila
tell me what you think please
and please please be honest

Hi James
I think they'll reject the Emirates shot unless the plane is centered in the image, which will mean cropping. They also state that they like to see the full plane, this shot kind of feels like the rest of the plane is missing
When you crop in, or view full size, the pixellation will be more obvious. They are really, REALLY into sharpness........understandably, you want to view shots on Airliners which look like Steve H's, not fuzzy blurry things. You'll probably need to PS the pic to sharpen up the hard lines, which may in turn cause more pixellation in the background image.
Once it looks sharp to you it will still look blurry to Airliners

No offence but can someone explain to me the big attraction of having photos posted on Anet?

As Steve says, the higher resolution pics will have to be posted, but by looking at them smaller pics, 1 & 2 would certainly be rejected.

the main reason i want to get some on is because the photos they post are normally really really high standard, so to have some of mine on there would be a huge privelege, to see that people actually think that my shots are good.
so if some of mine were to be accepted i would be delighted that they thought them good enough, and it would spur me on to do even better and carry on photographing
