i am starting my holiday pictures with that of the aircraft that i took pictures of.

first two from Gatwick, very limited time and space to take from so this is pretty much all i could get from there, and i had no such luck at Dalaman either.  :(

BA 737 (can anyone identify the model? i think its a 400 or 300 but im not sure) taxiing to the gate

BA BAe-146 again just finishing its taxi to the gate

the colour is off in these because of the tintied windows of gatwick. :(

now, during the first week at the sunsail club we were staying at there was a huge fire on the opposite side of the hill to where we were situated, and a helocopter was called in to help put out the fire, and luckily for me, the helo was picking up water from right infront of me!!

and, quite obviously, i took some photos!!  ;D

can anyone please identify the type of aircraft?

and last thing for this thread
again while at the club i saw two fighters go screaming over in what looked like a practise dog-fight, i think they were F-5s, or at least they looked like it from what i saw briefly. Im not sure if anyone would know anything about this, and frankly i would be surprised if they did, but if anyone can shed any light on this i would be very grateful

hope you've enjoyed these, and there will be a few more, non aircraft-related threads coming soon

and all comments always welcome

cheers
james

Hooray for the non aircraft related photo threads. ;D

That helicopter is a Russian design. Yesterday I could have told you what it was but I've forgotten now. Someone else will tell you though for sure. ;D

The Russian Heli is a Kamov KA-27 Helix. Not sure about the model of the 737 though... # 4 and 6 are fantastic  8)

To back Vulcan1 up, yes, that is a Ka-27 helix. I saw it and went, "oh my God, I shoot those things down in Lock on!!" It's true.
One AIM-9 sidewinder, and an AIM-120 missile always blow the tail off(AIM-9's work) and the other (AIM-120) blow both contra-rotating rotors off.
LOL
Cheers,
Doc.
