Les Gets

Postby Cobra » Tue Aug 15, 2006 6:22 am

Just got back a few days ago from Les Gets in France, which is pretty much the Downhill/Freeride Mecca of Europe. Had an amazing time, and thank god not to injured! Had to have some stiches in my leg...but all good now! Just got a few pics i thought i would share, we literally only got like 2 pics of us on bikes, as we were just too busy riding!!

Our plane. We were just standing there praying they would load the bikes nicely!!

This is just the view from our hotel...not a lot to see but quite  a pretty town...

I love this picture! My mate standing on top of the infamous 'shed drop' at the top of Kona Park.

Image

Run out from the shed drop...its kinda annoying...it is actually about 12ft high(from takeoff to landing point), but in pictures looks soo small!

Image

This is some random guy (not our picture) but it shows the size a little better.

And heres me doing it, again it looks so small!! Aghhhhh, you get the idea though. Was quite sick though, the guy that did it after me piled and broke his leg really badly, and was knocked out for a good minute...then started bleeding from his eyes and coughing up blood. Really nasty, what was even harder though was trying to direct the Air Ambulance with my limited French skills!

Image

This is just a view from the top of Kona Bike Park, quite a fun place to spend the afternoon!

Sorry about the lack of riding pictures...like i said though, not enough hours in the day ;D Hope you liked...

Damn! That looks great! I'd like to take my MTB up there once ... and if only we'd still have our Land Rover ;D
