When I was waiting to fly in the chopper, I said: All we miss now is a Saab Gripen. And 2 seconds later, two Saab Gripen flew by!! :D

It was a really short, and a really good flight! :D

Sweet shots Theis, but does anybody else find the alitimeter reading in the 3rd shot a little unnerving - or am I going blind, VS 300fpm, KIAS 42, ALT 0. :o

Cheers,

TSC.

OMG!  THEIS!  You survived a crash and the helicopter survived too! ;D

You are so lucky, youve flown on a DC-3 and now a HELICOPTER!

Ummm... it's a helicopter... ;) ;D

Great pics, although that VC is a bit "blurry out of the box"... ;D

I've only taken one chopper ride (in an old Enstrom). It's different, all right!

No, not the KIAS, look at the altitude - the whirlybird is has clearly left the ground, by about 40ft I'd say - yet the altimeter hasn't moved.

Cheers,

TSC.

Nice one Theis. :D

Maybe his home airfield is a tad higher. I'm not sure that conventional altimeters are that accurate near the ground anyway. Been a long time since I had to worry about things like that.
