Just a few photos from the quick Normandy vist earlier this month. Hopefully I'll be going back later in the year with a bigger memory card...

Pegasus bridge again. The wreath on the left of the picture is laid where Lt Den Brotheridge fell, becoming the first British soldier to be killed in the invasion.

nice shots, my friend is there right now i think or somewhere in the french countryside fraulicing in the popies and then steping on unexploded ordanance

seems like a wonderful trip
its a nice memorial there, ive been there with school twice, and it always numbs me to know how many people sacrificed themselves on that day.

Ah those pictures bring back many memories of my trip there, its a beautiful area of France and the musuems are excellent!

Great pics Charlie - i'm hoping to go there in September/October to visit the D-Day beaches & drive up to Dunkirk.

Looks like you visited exactly the same places I did when I was there. Some of your pics are almost exactly the same as the ones I took. Scary.
Great shots! Brings back some great memories from my time in france!

sorry you had bad times with some people here... (as far as I understood from one of your previous post)
you should also visit verdun's memorials. douaumont is the place,exactly. that's a really impressive place, and I'm sure you will never forget that place...
you know french will never forget what other countries did for them...you know...

Really nice Charlie. I visited Normandy two years ago and visited most of the sites and beaches but did not have time to visit Pegasus Bridge. I hope to go back again soon.
