Soui at hendon part 1

On my 10 day visit in England we found some time to visit this lovely museum!

Here are the shots! But first of all I'm sad to report I didn't get much of the "modern" fighters as my dad didn't charge up the batteries!!

Still... got quite a few to show ;D

Let's start! ( some have been brightened up a bit)

Nice shots.....I found that the only hall light enough to take pictures.

Is the bomber hall open yet, last time I went they were refurbishing it...all you could see was the front of the lancaster. They were also taking the valiant to Duxford on the back of a lorry.

They were also taking the valiant to Duxford on the back of a lorry.


The Valiant is actually at Cosford. I think it was in trade for Cosford's Liberator.

I'd certainly rather have the Valiant though (being the only full example left in the world, and all).

The lighting was superb for the display atmosphere but yes really terrible for the photo's Bomber hall photo's will be in the next serie.. BOB hall being the most darkened will come after that!

I hate that BoB hall, All the photos had to be lightened and lost the quality.

Is that the place where the guards had to pull you away from the merlin-engine you were violating, Mark?  ;D

Indeed it was. The idea with moving the Valiant to Cosford though, was to have examples of each V-Bomber all under one roof... :)
