Those Tomys look like toys compared to that 747. Great shots John.

You say all those 747's...the only regular sevices into Ringway are the dragonair, China airways and a Pakistan Airlines one I think?
Nice to see someone else using the superb viewing facilities at Manchester! Whenever I'm in that part of the country I always pay a visit....if only to see concorde!

Thanks for the comments everyone,
i often go to manchester when i have a bit of spare time, money and petrol, but it always seems that there either airbourne or taking off a fair distance from the viewing point, still waiting to get some decent landing ones.
if anyone wants the full size shots of any of these, just let me know and i'll send them over.
Thanks again
Nemo.....

I can just about get them landing on the old runway, but with my camera with poor zoom it's almost impossible to get them departing on the new RW. 1 plus point of the spotters area is that most landing jets taxi right in front of you!

These are very nice shots. Manchester seems to have a refreshing approach to spotters. Many of the larger international airports like Heathrow & Gatwick have put up high fences & done away with their spotting areas.
