62 years ago today, thousands of young men stormed the beaches of Normandy, many paying the ultimate price and giving up their lives for freedom. These photo's are dedicated to all soldiers (Allied or German) who fought and died in that battle.

The photo's were taken a couple of years ago with my first digital camera, and as you can see, the quality is not good (it was a very cheap thing). But I hope you like them anyway.

The first pictures are from St.Mere-Eglise and the airborne museum.

This is me at the towns entrance.

This is the hall were they keep an original C-47. Note the signs of the 82nd and 101st airborne division made out of flowers.
