The Seafire XVII. Had its first post-restoration flight on May 3rd. I think this was its first public display.

Perhaps one of the best formations in a modern day airshow! You won't get the RAF doing that anymore... except for the Queen's birthday!

Straith into the light or not, that second shot rocks! And perhaps it was quite usefull on carriers, but that wingfold tip-flop posture makes this beast look a bit gay...  ;D  ;D  ;D

good shots. im currently reading a book about the history of the spit, so it includes the navy variation. and apparently more seafires were lost due to landing mistakes onboard ships than in combat. silly pilots.

That's the luck of having the General Manager of the RNHF flying the Kennet Seafire, and two of the collection pilots also fly for the RNHF, making the formation easier to "authorise"...

For those of you into 'naked ladies' (for the under 16's that's just a joke.........they're plane pictures really) have a look at the following links. These are from October last year and show a slightly less finished version of Doug's prize catch.

Sorry for the compression, but it's the only way I could get them under size.

Now that is a sight! Superb stuff. I don't guess we'll get to see that formation again but I hope they do something like that at Legends this year. Fantastic shots as ever Doug pal. :)

Great formation there :o And another great plane is back where it belongs, in the sky. :)
I was at the national resistance and war museum at Overloon yesterday and they have a Mk 14c hanging from the ceiling. :-[
