jones beach airshow pt6-Stearmans and SNJs
Posted: Mon May 29, 2006 5:37 pmNothing like an old-school, barnstormer-type formation team... the Red Baron Pizza Squadron is pretty damn tasty. I can't honestly say as much about Red Baron frozen pizza, but... whatever.
Best shot of the day, overall:
Powerful and graceful, and very precise.
This heart looked better before they embellished it; wish I'd taken a pic sooner.
The Geico Skytypers were busy plying their trade overhead throughout the show, spelling out ads for the vatious sponsors, but then they did something really cool- they came down to the showline and put on a show.
The high sun brought out some deep shadows in the smoke... very cool.
All that formation flying at work is excellent practice for these guys; they were flawless.
Smoke: on!!
Next: the ANG 106th rescue team, and the Heritage Flight!
