She is one gorgeous dog James  :)
I know they need regular clipping but I think she looks cuter with a bit more hair.. sort of lends credence to the phrase "Always get your hair cut a week before you want it to look good"  ;D  ;)

Beautiful dog,  she's cool now.
What type is she,  I'm  looking for a new dog.
Mine passed on in January.

Wow, that's almost too clean and tidy... someone roll that dog in some dirt, STAT!!"
Sheepdog-types always look so happy to have a little maintenence done on that shaggy coat- a lot of pople just sjave 'em down for the summer.

Reminds me: Peg is way overdue for a bath... maybe I'll actually take her in for a professional "makeover". It seems silly to pay for that, but it's a big project getting her brushed, bathed and mainicured, esp. this time of year when that light undercoat just keeps shedding and shedding no matter how often I brush her. Drives me nuts. then when i do bathe her, 5 minutes later she'll be lying in a pile of sawdust in the woodshop or something... ::)
So maybe i'll let somebody else deal with it his time.
I wonder if I'd get a discount for the missing leg...?

BTW, freedomhays... sorry to hear about your Husky.. not looking forward to saying goodbye to my Peg, and it won't be all that long, I think.

Thanks,  he replaced my second wife.
I am still saddened.  Another dog should be the answer.

thanks
we got her from the RSPCA rescue home, where they said that she is a terrier cross, however there are so many beardd collies around this area, and she looks realy like them, we think that she is probably about 90% bearded collie, and the rest terrier.

Whatever suits- I could easily be tempted, especially with a Rottweiler pup, but  for me, losing her has a silver lining... I plan to let the new-found freedom  help me get over the loss...I'm one of those people who has an unbearable urge to "chuck it all" and pull up my roots at least once a week (usually Mondays).
My decision to care for her has left me tied down, somewhat. Not that it hasn't been worth it, so far... I'm a better person because of my association with this animal.

Yeah, I know she's not really a sheepdog; that's my own descriptive for shaggy dogs with bangs. A real sheepdog can develop serious tangling and matting problems, which is probably why so many get shaved annually.
Kudos to you for adopting: I always tell people that the best breed of dog is a shelter dog!!
;D  I lucked out big-time when I got Peg from a shelter for nothing... and she was spared transfer to some facility that euthanizes. Win-win, all around. ;D

Cool Dog!!! 8)

As soon as you let him out he'll roll in the dirt and find a nice trash can to raid! ;D
