Well, I'm sure it's gotta be a Cessna, at first I thought it was a Bird Dog, but the gear and wing struts are different.

Ima guess Cessna 120 or a 170. They all look so alike.

Really? I was a front profile photo of a late '70's 170 that looked a bit similar, in regards to the windsheild and engine cowl.

I knew I'd seen it before - the shape of the tail threw me off, since it's about the same shape of the Voyager.  Then, piqued, I plunged through my references until I spotted - the same photo.

It's not the prettiest single-engined light aircraft I've ever seen, especially as it's an Italian design.

Strange how everyone associates the name Cessna with light aircraft these days. In the old days they were all commonly referred to as Piper Cubs. ::)

By the way, you said you found the exact same photo. Was it in a book called The Complete Encyclopedia Of World Aircraft?
