The location is Tansley near Matlock... looking towards Matlock Bath which is situated in a gorge. There's no enhancement of the colour and it is more or less exactly the same as it was to the eye.
The castle on the left is Riber Castle .... not a real castle. It is a folly which, for a long time, has been the subject of a development row. The proposal for a housing development on the site has been hotly debated within the Matlock area. Most people want the site kept as it is and made into a country park. However earlier this year the developers won with a drastically reduced scheme than the original propsal which would have wrecked the skyline.
