So here is another installment of the capabilities of the new camera which I just picked up last week......

These are shot in the kitchen with nothing special and only the short portrait zoom.....I hope nobody finds them to be " rude "......it's only WATER !

You must have been quick on the trigger Ken! How many attempts did these take?

I did a few of these a couple of weeks back. Cant remember if I posted them or not? I know I sent a few to Doug asking him to have a go. Did you take yours in the dark?

Anyone heared of burst-shots? Takes several shots in sequence... should make it easier.

I like the idea... And the shots...

What camera are you playing with btw?

What type of burst shots are you talking about ? rapid shooting in auto drive mode ? or bursting things like water balloons and such ?

My new camera will only shoot about 2 1/2 frames/sec so its not really going to do better than 'Luck" when it comes to timing......nothing can compete with that....

The camera I picked up is an Olympus Evolt E-500 with two lenses....
......these shots were taken with the short (portrait) zoom and internal flash only.....shot on Aperture Priority at F-16 to enable good depth of field and allow the flash duration to become my shutterspeed......

Aye, my camera does that. It's great for airshows. :)

Burst shooting or Drive Mode is especially beneficial when you can add in features like Bracketing for Exposure/White Balance/Focus/ or indoor Flash......varying these things can ensure that you get at least one very acceptable frame from the number you shoot........

Ken, try some of these in a pitch black room. with the flash. It gives a really good clear photo with practise.
