What aircraft is that in four and five? Looks like a low-wing Chippie..

And so yet again, Spring doesn't mean new colours and bright scenery........it means GREEN with ENVY for the rest of us who only get to see this through the eyes of Dougs camera !

A Chippie is a low-winger ?  ....you meant a "high-winger?"

G-TENT looks like an Auster to me .............

Is it me or does the nose on the Auster look a bit odd?
The de Havillands are of course gorgeous 8)

It's almost like someone took the nose-section of a dehavilland and flunked it on the Auster... kinda doesn't fit right...

It's you. :P :D

It's almost like someone took the nose-section of a dehavilland and flunked it on the Auster... kinda doesn't fit right...

Which is basically what they did. This is the traditional Auster fitted with the same inverted Gipsy Major engine as many other British aircraft of the period.
