Little History lesson about Runcorn/halton

I've been meaning to do this for a while now but one of the things that the area i live in is famous for its Castle, so today even though it was snowing i decided to take a trek up to it to give you an idea of how old it is.......

Not sure of the name of this church but it roughly dates back to the time that the castle was built.

i've got a fair bit of information about this castle aswell which i'll post up if anyone would like to know more about it.
hopefully i'll get round to posting some better shots than the ones i've posted when the weather pics up.

Nice one. I like the effect of the snow.

Which would explain it in a lot more detail than i could ever do.
