Had a short day on-site in Brooklyn the other day; decided to walk over to Manhattan on my way home and take some snaps.
The following were taken from the bridge.

Looking towards Manhattan:

Quite a few tugs out today, going up the East River- here's the Sea Bull.

And the McAllister Responder...

Shooting into the sun again as I turn the camera south, but I just had to try to get some shots of helis arriving at the Wall St. heliport:

A nice overview of the pad, located next to the Staten Island Ferry Terminal:

A lucky break here; check out the spray curling up off the water in the rotor wash as this chopper flares:

Next: A closer look at the Heliport!

Hmmm... if you'd really like to see more of the bridge, I took quite a few, but decided this crowd would prefer to see tugs and helicopters. Anybody else want to see more of the bridge?

It would be neat to work the harbor and bring a ship into dock.

Thank you, and yes, it was crisp indeed. Strong winds made it quite cold, despite the sun. I made my way around the Battery to the WTC and didn't see a single fixed-wing cruising the VFR corridor- unusual even on a weekday... probably too windy for most folks that day.

Nice photos. I stood there too last year. Walked all the way to Brooklyn and back. When you walk from Manhattan to Brooklyn and turn around, you'll get an amazing view of the financial district on the left and the ESB on the right. From there, the ESB looks so...can't find the best word...strong?!

Also made dozens of photos of the Brooklyn bridge. For me as a civil engineer this bridge was very interesting to see. But I can imagine for non egineers it really is a beauty too.
