Yesterday, I went on a tour of training facilities at Air Canada and I flew a training flight on one of their 727 simulators. Canada recently legalized marijuana, so here is a picture of me hitting a joint before going through the takeoff checklist.

I can see the legalized of marijauna, but smoking, then smoking before a check ride......a no no. Got to admit, weed gives you a great high, but is not possible with aircraft in the mix, very interessting. So does that mean a Air Canada ramper can smoke weed on the job, or is smoking around aircraft still Illegal in Canada.....?

*Note the Captain wants a hit too ....hahahahahah LMFAO

Thats not me in the picture. Marijuana is still illegal in Canada (especially with the new Conservative government) and airline training facilities are probably non-smoking buildings.

Well, technically since they are in a simulator it's not so bad. However, it is intented as a real aircraft, and most people wouldn't be able to tell the difference.

I live in Canada, and marijuana is not legal.  By legalized, they mean that you can be caught with a certain amount and not be charged or arrested.  What legalized means is that it is not a severe punishment.

Bottom line, of course, is that legal or no, intoxication and flying/handling/maintaining aircraft do not mix...master of the obvious, that's me...
And anyone who doesn't get a natural high from flying should just stay on the ground...

Look the plane is not aligned with the centerline of the runaway ....can't imagine why ....I'm not fan of this thought
