Another fine set of shots there Bret, must've been cool to see Air Force One (& don't anybody be picky & say 'but the President wasn't aboard so it isn't.......yadda yadda yadda......').

Any news on the flight school dropping the 2nd 'T' yet?? :D

Cheers,

TSC.

During Desert Storm, I took a ride in a C-5 from Charleston AFB-Morrow Spain. That had to be the scariest ride i'd ever been on. Never mind we were a week overdue on mission. We slept on are weapons in the pax terminal at Charleston waiting on parts to come from Texas for the APU's. Funny thing was I was stationed there and I couldn't go home. Anyway for those not familiar with the C-5, you sit backwards above the cargo hold right next to the T tail. From there all you could see above you were the various cables for the alerons, flaps, the works. Once this dinosaur hit max take off speed all you could here was the screaming of those J-57s and all those cables shrilling. Any other AC you would think these were the sounds of catastrophic failure but not on a C-5. These noices are quite normal to a C-5 crew but not to a kid(at the time) who was use to the sounds of a C-17. I could go on about the flight but thats another case of beer ;D nice shots BTW.

Awesome.
The 747 just looks fantastic as Air Force One... even with that pimple on her nose. ;D
