Another lovely day for flying!(part 2)
Well, after the meeting-up, a parking fiasco (long story), and having to look at the Connie, the original flight plan went into the garbage. I just took Marc out over his hometown of Nyack by the river, dropped him back at 4N1, then hustled back home, battling a vicious headwind. No pix from me of our sightseeing flight- I was way too busy. Greenwood Lake's pattern was like a hornet's nest, and the wind was devilish!
Had a little trouble finding 47N in the growing haze and late-afternoon sun... and Melanie from the school started calling for me on the radio: I was late, and a CFI and student were waiting for 715.
As I turned base, I heard a familiar Italian accent on the CTAF: our very own MarcoAviator was making a practice VOR approach to the same runway. He sounded busy...
I made a sweet short-field landing there; a pretty satisfying finish. Naturally, as soon as I had 715 topped off and handed over to its next user, the wind practically vanished. Figures. But it was good exercise, 2.2 Hobbs-hrs of struggling with the air, and now I'm only a couple of hours away from a grand total of 200... that's cool.
I'm in the habit of "decompressing" outside the pilot shop after my flights- always a lot to see. I'll let these snaps speak for themselves:

When are ya gonna come up my way?
