Censport's old toy

Postby Censport » Mon Jan 16, 2006 11:40 am

Here's my "old girl", looking somewhat out of place on the Hot Rod Magazine Power Tour in 2003:

And here she is more recently, after a bath in the back driveway:

For those wondering, she's a 1963 Chevrolet Corvair 700 sedan. Yes, she has the Powerglide transmission with the shifter on the dash. And only 130,000 miles, just a few more than my MX-5 Miata. She's a sweet old girl who runs and drives like new. Better, in fact. She's going to my friend's restoration shop this year to have her body massaged and repainted.

PS: Nader's a fraud!

Wow. Haven't seen a Corvair in a while. :)

p.s.- your second shot is 150 pixels too wide. I resized for ya. ;)

I knew the President of the Corvair Cub of the northeast chapter.  PA, NJ, DE.
He has seven Covairs including two Spyders which I think were turbo charged. :) :)

By the way, that "Healey" is a kit car with a small-block Chevy V8.

Ah so its not authentic - shame - I'd rather have the real thing...
