Nice if you like noisy things that go in a straight line ;D

There are two types of aeroplane, Spitfires and everything else that wishes it was a Spitfire!

Do you get close or is that your lense?

Not quite as close but the only shot that was taken at maximum zoom was the thirid one. The one of the landings from directly underneath are pretty much that close naturally :)

My favourite modern RAF aircraft

A kindred spirit! ;D

Just a quick (poor) shot to give you an idea of the position i'm at...

Let me guess. You use a Sony 8 mega pixel digital camera

The reason I asked is the Sony 8 mega pixel DSC720 I think, has one big flaw.

If you look at the pics you will notice a purple tinge on several of the aircrafts surfaces.

Look at pic 5. Notice the purple around the landing lights, or pic 6 and 7 where the purple fringe is on the edge of the wings.

That is the reason I got rid of mine and bought a Canon. I have never looked back

I believe Steven uses a Canon himself (EOS10D unless I'm mistaken) with a rather large lens! ;D
