Bumped into Helen, the wife of our very own MarcoAviator, in the office after I called it a day- I'd seen him departing while taxiing earlier- he was off on another IFR training flight. She said he'd be back soon, there were airplanes to watch, so I hung around. things started to get busy- it was a rare winter day for flying- sunny and light winds.  Here's a good example of: bad picture, great moment. Nice landing. I have no idea who this is...

One of at least two "Bird Dogs" that live here:

A sweet Grumman:

Greeted Marco when he got back; he's just about ready for his IFR checkride (insert a little golf-tournament applause here ;D ), and he asked if I'd ride safety with him a few times while he practiced. He reminded me that I can log that time as PIC... that cinched it. I'll be flying the other rental C152 next Sunday; afterwards I'll hop in the cherokee to look for traffic while Marco shoots an approach or two over at Lancaster. should be a good full day of flying... wish every day could be like that!!
Oh, BTW... Marco and his partners have upgraded the Piper's panel: nice Garmin; new VOR/ILS; new audio panel, etc., new airspeed indicator. Looks much better!

Forgot to mention earlier: noticed on the way to 47N that that Volga-Dnepr AN124 is still sitting on the ramp at KEWR:
Maybe they owe the Port Authority some money...;D

Did anyone else think that the aircraft (757?) in the background, on the AN124 pic, was a B-1B at a first glance? :P Theres something about it...
