NJ Aviation Hall of Fame & Museum part 6

Now that I've got everyone geared up to see more aircraft...
Here's some trucks!! Yes, a good part of this outdoor display is devoted to the history of MASH units... they even have a coupla big tents set up. But who wants to look at pictures of big tents? ;)

Speaking of MASH units, it wouldn't be a complete tribute without a beat-up old 47. I love these things... but then again,I've never flown one.

Speaking of choppers, howzabout a Cobra? The fake gun barrels are extremely cheesy, but it's otherwise complete, and a pretty good example of the type. I tried in vain to get a pic of the interior; the reflections didn't allow it. They have "open cockpit" days here occasionally; maybe then I'll get some better pics.

My heart went out to this poor old Mohawk; it's way off in a corner (I ducked under a rope to get closer- naughty naughty!), and it's in a hell of a state. But again, it's all there, and  this would be a superb "open-cockpit" display with a bit of work. Okay, a lot of work...

Next: Last but not least: the mighty Martin 202!!

The gun barrels make it look like it's doing an impression of a Dalek...

:D Right. Cheesy (not to knock Dr Who, but that show required a great deal of suspension-of-disbelief...).

M*A*S*H :D

Used to love that show, and the choppers too, but can you imagine flying those things under fire? Can't have been fun...

Nice shots again Rotty. Shame about that plane. At least the MASH chopper is looking good.

Only thing worse than piloting one of those over enemy territory would be lying on one of those cots-!!
But I guess if one was headed for the MASH after being wounded, it was all good...
