As a kid you like to think you know all there is to know about the planes of the second world war....

Of course the Mk1 Spitfire and the Hurricane's nose, a Mustang and a Catalina

Image

And even some of the less famous types, the Me163. In the background the Avro Lincoln.

But there are some which can surprise you, what a stunning machine, the Me410 nose to nose with a Mosquito. For some reason I just can't get a decent picture of a Mosquito

Image

And what about this, anyone got a fast car? The Fa330 was set up on the decks of surfaced submarines and towed behind as a glider to spot for ships over the horizon! Is there one of these in FS2004?

Image

The nose of the Lincoln is just to the right, a Storch wing to the left, and a Mig15 and Tornado behind

Mentioning the beginning of a legend, Ozzy, when I'd first contmplated about it, many a month ago, I didn't have the nerve to ask. Now, however...
was that second cockpit there when you got in that green Spit or did you put it there doing one of your infamous loops? ;D 8)

Very interesting. I've been past Cosford once but never ventured inside the gate. ;)

H the second pit has been there for many years. IAC-161 used to be PV 202 with the Grace-in-line conversion but following a fatal accident she was rebuilt in her original Tr.9 spec as she was sold to the Irish Air Corps.
And she is lovely.... but I wouldn't want to try and squeeze in the back being over 6 feet tall and about 15 stone it'd be more than a little bit tight :o
