Artwork in Philly

Postby Willit Run » Tue Dec 13, 2005 3:46 pm

Here are a couple of shots from Sixth Street going under the Ben Franklin Bridge.  It is still in progress as you can see.  I'll have to get some shots when it is complete and some others from around town.

Ah, the wonderful mosiacs of Philly. They ever get around to repainting that one by the zoo? It was kinda messed up last time I was over there.

Yeah Philly has some nice paintings around. I personally like the one as you're coming on to Rt 95 out of Center City and the huge American flag is painted on that old factory. So cool 8)

That Flag is great.  I'm going to walk across the Ben Franklin Bridge one day and get some shots of it from the bridge.  Also from the Schullkyll Expressway you can see a painting of whales on the side of a building that is amazing.

Good artwork but...
it makes me wonder what happens towards and after dark. How many walk into the fake sidewalks? ;D

That looks cool! Way better than a brick or concrete wall! I just hope the taggers don't ruine it!

Thanks!!

In the Spring I'm going to spend a day photographing the murals of Philadelphia as a photo project.  To cold to do that know.  Went to the Kimmel Center last night and saw a few new ones.  The artwork is amazing!!
