Thank you Dave. They would look better but I compressed them a little too much to get under 100kb.

Excellent Craig!

Nice shots. Ozzy should particularly like one and two as they are of Alex Henshaw's personal transport during WWII! I'm off down there on Sunday to clean the Anson...

These bring back some nice memories Craig. It was a jolly good day out. :D

You forgot to mention that he smashed it up while taking off from Castle Bromwich. Fortunately he was not too badly hurt but he admitted he wasn't looking where he was going. Even the best can get careless. It was later rebuilt & owned by my boyhood hero Neville Duke. (Hawker Tomtit if anyone wants to know.)

I know what you're after. ;) Post pics please. If I lived a tad closer I would join you.

Well worth the trip. It was almost 2 hours from Birmingham to get there, but well worth it.

Wonderful CraigL....wonderful ;)

You have to love anything with two wings and a big oil dripping, smoke belching radial :)

Cheers...Happy Landings...Doug

If you're coming down from EGNT it's about the same distance as Duxford (about 180miles from York, so about 250 or so from near EGNT).

Best show to take photos in the country. :)

whats the second to last biplane?  It looks like an open cockpit christen eagle

PS: I know, I know, I am a plane expert and I should know, but this is how I learn ;)

Dear oh dear... Have you not heard of google ;D. Google G-HATZ (and you get a rubbish result for some professor Ghatz) or N54623, and you'll find it's a "Hatz"

Presumably a Hatz is a homebuilt of some description. It must have been visiting for the day... :)

According to the CAA registration database it's a HATZ CB-1 built in 1981 & first registered in the UK in 1989. Powered by 1 x Lycoming O-320-E2. Manufacturer is listed as DANGELO RF. Anything else you want to know? 8)

I checked it out after I got home on the day Craig took these shots as I had no idea what it was either. ;)
Think I posted my own shot of it some time ago.

PS. The serial number is 17. ;)
