I envy you mate ;) The coolest thing I have ever seen in a hanger was a Beech Staggerwing, and a Beech 18 side by side, but other than that nothing too special.

Wonderful shots Nemo...very very nice ;)

It would look as if you folks do some fabric covering there?
Are you into that as well?

Thanks for posting them shots  :)

Cheers...Happy Landings...Doug

The company i worked for was one of the few that i know in Liverpool/Manchester that actually helped restore aircraft to the air, This was one of a handful that they had started to rebuild/rebuilt over the years, the other being the Stearman shown above which arrived from the u.s in several crates and was prepared/covered/built and flown in 18months this was in the early 90's (they also have the original engine that came with it, they also worked with a pilot and helped him rebuild a Sipa which i have been told many stories of the problems they had forming the screen/canopy......

Nice. A bit of needlework going on eh?

yep, i think its called wing stringing (not too sure), its enjoyable but not too exciting to do,

Nemo, would it be easier for us to name wht planes you havednt flown/flown on/worked on?

lol that would be a hard one, i've seen/worked/flew on quite a few different types of aircraft.

Nemo..........

EDIT..... They also Operated a Soko Kraguj for many a years and had there own warbird flypast.

Is the USA registered Socata a resident?

It was a resident till the guy who owned it sold it on, i'm almost sure it left the airport earlier this year, but don't quote me on that,

if anyone is wondering why the side panels and the wing covers are off, its star annual check was almost complete and we were starting to seal it up for its ground run and test flight..... luckly i never posted the pic of it with a fire extinguisher next to it.... due to the exhaust being at an angle and after priming the engine a bit of avgas would sit there and produce a flame that shot along the fuselage so it was there as a precaution....

Nemo......

heres a link i think you might be interested in North West Aviation News Residents List its got most of the aircraft that are based there including a Douglas C-47A-75-DL (dakota) and a chipmunk......
