Hmmm. So where's the pikturs then? :P :D

Snow is quite common in some parts of Britain like Yorkshire & Scotland but this is usually nothing compared with what I've seen of Canada. The last time we had any of what you could call snow in my part of the country was in the winter of 1962/63. I'd just started my new job at Gatwick which meant commuting every day. I remember it started snowing on Boxing Day (Dec 26th) & didn't thaw until April. The drifts on either side of the roads were higher than a double-decker bus in some places & even the sea froze over. :o

This is what I call snow. :D

Not what you expected from us.....although in fairness, as you maybe saw from my post last weekend, we've had fog for a week and there is still a lot of lingering low overcast...........

The only time I've seen anything like that was in the previous bad winter of 1950-51. I opened the front door to walk to school & that was what I was confronted with :o (Less bottles of course. :D).

Well, I wasn't exactly a midget even in them days. I don't remember ever seeing snow before, never mind a wall of it. I struggled to school waist-deep in the stuff & was worn out by the time I got there. It's a wonder I was ever seen again. Everything looks so much bigger when you're young. :o :D
