The airshow was AMAZING! It featured the F/A-18F Super Hornet. As luck would have it, not a single picture of that gorgeous bird turned out but... what can ya do? It was quite jaw-dropping to see how nimble that big jet was in the air.
I staked out the airport for Wednesday through Sunday. The only day we actually went to the show (in the gates) was Sunday. One spot that was nice was right at the end of the runway... got some sweet shots from there. Anyway, here are some of the (400) pics!!

One of the features of the show was the Oregon ANG F-15's that did some sweet flybys. This shot was taken on Sunday morning, Sept 11th. They had a huge lineup of emergency vehicles and personell out on the runway. I got a couple of great shots showing all the police cars and officers... with an Eagle about 50 feet off the deck, just above their heads.

Here is one of the birds again.

Hillsboro airport features an aviation museum that restores their aircraft to flying condition. Here is a Polish MiG-17 that performed at the show.

Here's the MiG again on final from the end of the runway.

Here are the Red Barron Pizza Squadron guys doing their thing! This is from the end of the runway and explains the odd angle. It's at the end of their performance where they do the follow the leader thing.

The 'Hog also participated in the show. Amazing demo's! Here is the beast on final approach.

Here she is from the other end of the field.

The Thunderbirds were also on the list. It was really bizarre because they were actually staging out of PDX, about 20 miles away.
But here is one of them during arrival maneuvers.
Hope you enjoy. Only about 30 pictures turned out being "good" out of the 400+ because the Rebel I was using was crapping out. lol QUITE irritating when the autofocus function decides not to work.
