Science Museum kites...

This is the actual aircraft in which John Alcock and Arthur Whitten Brown made the first non-stop flight across the Atlantic on 14-15 June 1919. The lovely Vickers Vimy 8)

Great selection of shots. These came out far better than mine. ;)

The mother of the Spitfire, the Supermarine S6B. Lovely!

I never saw the resemblance myself. Still, it's a nice looking aeroplane & far be it for me to spoil the legend. ;)

I can't remember myself. There's a section of 747 fuselage, and I'm fairly sure the Wright Flyer was resident for a time (in the 30s...) :)

There are some non-Brits, several American, the odd French one, quite a few German engines.
A lot of my shots didn't come out, or were blurry...
