Sorry, didnt take any of the actual approach, but I took a few after we landed...

LOL I can see the reflection of your lens on the window in the 3rd one.

Those are his finger marks, wiping the Los Angeles smog off of his lens.... ;D....!

A typical, low visibility, L.A. day... ;)... ;D...!

I'd sure like to see an AN-225! I think the AN-124s are pretty regular visitors to East Midlands Airport (Nottingham East Midlands sounds stupid) so maybe I should find out when the next arrival will be!

Yes, I beleive there is; and that one in the shot is probably the AN-124...look closely and you can only make out 4 engines instead of the six on the 225....but still...both are enormous aircraft ;)

Nah, I dont got my pilot's license...the plane we flew this trip was an MD-80 both ways...in January I flew over there to Burbank in a CRJ-700.

i remember landing at LAX on our way to hawaii. i pondered whats witht the big trucks with the giant 'U' where the nose wheel goes? i saw them everywhere at the airport.
