Drove around the corner, and discovered that an aerobatic display was in full swing.... but this airport is closed!!   ???

Were you fooled? There's a local RC club here... unfortunately, that was the only plane flying when I got over there, although I did spy a miniature jet fighter on the way.

Well... time to go. As I left, I got a decent shot of this airliner on final for KJFK, which is right across the bay.

Nice shots...love that last one ;)

Looks like they need to use a little week killer on their ramp is shot #3 :).
If they let the weeds get out of control damage can be done to the concrete.

Thanks for posting them rotty ;)

Cheers...Happy Landings...Doug

The whole place is pretty far-gone, frankly. But the weeds haven't won yet- that's some good old-school concrete there.

Very nice. A lot of old airfields are put to the same use over here so at least they do some good. What I'm more impressed with is that you managed to capture the model in the air. Pretty good shots too. I know how difficult that is with this sort of camera. Well done. ;)
