Anyway, here is some pics from the Friday September 16th. This was practice day. The area was hit by Hurricane Ophelia the day before so the weather still kinda sucked. These pics aren't the greatest of the bunch due to poor lighting. This will be the first of many threads over the next few days so please check back!
Man of these pics are purposely not cropped to give you an idea how close they were. I wanted to leave some environmental objects in the shot to give you an idea of the perspective.

This was the spot that day. Many people came out to catch the practice. This spot was perfect expecially for the Blue Angels. I actually liked it better than standing near show centre as this spot gets you so much close to them and they fly directly overhead at very low altitudes when looping around to head back towards the center of the airfield.

Notice the swirls coming from the props as it takes off overhead. Shortly after this it looped around and buzzed us at very high speed just feet above the trees. No one saw it coming...so yeah didn't react fast enough for a picture. I have a shot from the airshow the following day showing the same pass I'm talking about. You will see how low it was over the trees...

See what I mean??

More from the practice coming up!
