Bugsmashers 2

More of the same for everyone here who loves these old machines as much as I do. This is my idea of bliss. So many memories. ;)

Beautifully restored DH.60M Moth in original Brooklands Flying Club colours. My old boss Cecil Pashley was chief flying instructor at the club before WWII. Image

And here's another one.

The next four are closely related.

This was once owned by the famous pioneer aviatrix Lettice Curtis. http://www.ctie.monash.edu.au/hargrave/curtis_lettice.html
Not sure if it's the one she kept at Shoreham when I first worked there in 1960. That one was blue & I can't remember the registration.

Here's a bonus. Not seen any of these until fairly recently but they're a common sight now. The resident AN-2 just back from Yeovilton where it was on static display.

Bugsmashers one and all very nice Doug ;)

Good to see the price of fuel isn't  stopping the dedicated from flying.

Now would there be a fly in lunch for these good folks and perhaps some spot landings and flour bombing contests.?

Cheers...Happy Landings...Doug

Great shots Doug, of course An-2s are about the only thing I get to see here, wish we had some of the others in this thread for a bit of variety.......
